A CIPC annual return is a statutory filing required from all companies and close corporations registered in South Africa. It must be submitted within 30 business days of each anniversary of the entity incorporation date. Failure to file results in late penalties and ultimately voluntary deregistration of your company by CIPC.
COIDA is the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act. Every employer in South Africa who employs one or more workers must register with the Compensation Fund (or Rand Mutual Assurance / Federated Employers Mutual depending on industry) and submit an annual Return of Earnings. Failure to comply means you may be personally liable for compensation claims from injured employees.
